How to Cook

Pan-sear your Wagyu in a cast-iron skillet at medium-high heat for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes each side. We recommend cooking your Wagyu to rare or medium-rare for the best flavor, which has an internal temperature of about 120-135°F. Let your steak rest for 10 minutes.

Perfect Pairings

We boast an exceptional collection of specialty marinades and meat seasonings that are perfect for adding even more flavor to your Wagyu, if you like to keep it interesting!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Japanese A5 Wagyu ribeye steak?

A5 Wagyu is a premium cut of beef that’s sourced from specific Japanese cattle breeds raised under strict standards. It’s renowned for its intense marbling, resulting in buttery flavor and a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

How do I season Wagyu?

A5 Wagyu is best seasoned simply with salt and a little black pepper. This helps to draw out moisture and create a beautiful crust.

Can I grill Wagyu?

Yes, you technically can grill Wagyu steaks. However, we do not recommend grilling at Don Peter’s Carniceria, because Wagyu’s high fat content can cause flare-ups. You should pan-sear for the best results.
